    Customer questions / expert answers

    Q. Hi there, thanks for getting back to me. It seems I will have to try a Magnesium supplement from 'off the shelf'. I am currently seeing a GP not a Naturopath at the present time, so wouldn't think able to get a script for this product from my doctor. She recommended Magnesium tabs/or powder to take at night. It was recommended to me by a friend who is actually studying to become a Naturopath. Thanks once again. Kind regards, Brenda.

You do have access to the Bioceutical range without a script.  I sent you a link to access these with my last email.  Consider using Ultramuscleze night or Ultramuscleze energy.

    Q. I was speaking to (93yr old) mum about Ultra Muscleze & she would like to try it for night cramps in her legs. Or perhaps you could recommend something else?

Ultra Muscleze will be a good support for leg cramps for your Mum.  Suggest recommending 1/2 teaspoon at midday meal for the first week, and 1/2 midday and dinner for the second week.  Please note, high magnesium doses can cause bowel changes, so build the dose up slowly. Dose can be adjusted depending on symptoms, and she may not need to take it every day.

    Q. Can you recommend the best magnesium to use for people who are training regularly. I am looking for a powdered one and was steering towards BioCeuticals. I am currently selling a tablet form magnesium through my studio however I know powder is best.

Bioceuticals Ultra Muscleze optimises cellular energy production and has a chelated form of magnesium and nutritional cofactors to maximise absorption. It is an excellent product for those training regularly.

    Q. I have a feeling I'm getting more and more deficient in some sort of nutrient. I'm a vegetarian, so I know B Vitamins are a concern with me. I've been trying to eat lots of beans and lentils, but I still feel weak and less energetic than I used to. Since I've moved to Australia in November 2011, I've been getting every cold, cough, sneeze, flu that passes my way. Not only is it incredibly annoying, but this has NEVER happened to me before.

I eat a lot of fruit to keep my immune system strong, and dark leafy vegetables to get iron and all that other good stuff in there. I don't know why I feel like I'm getting weaker and weaker. Plus, I'm craving SWEETS after dinner like CRAZY. I think this is because my dinners didn't provide enough of SOMETHING to satisfy me. Would this be a B Vitamin deficiency, and if so, what do I do?

If it's possible, I'd like to use food and adjustments in my diet first before I take any pills, but I know that as a vegetarian, there is only so much broccoli I can handle in one day! So I guess I'm saying I would be open to taking a pill of some sort, but only if it is Vegetarian friendly, and as few preservatives and additives as possible (I have a firm belief that preservatives cause cancer).

What would you recommend? I really appreciate your help and time!

Having reviewed your symptoms, it looks like you have a Vitamin B and iron deficiency. You can consider adding Spirulina powder - at least 1 tablespoon per day (you need to increase it to 3 tablespoons per day to improve energy).  You can take in a 1/2 water and juice drink or add to a juice smoothie.  The other option is to take a powdered multi like Ultra Muscleze with an Iron supplement.

    Q. Hi, I am looking for a good magnesium supplement + weight loss (visceral fat) and liver detox and perhaps Rhodiola. I am taking Pristiq. Any suggestions?

Try Bioceuticals Ultra Musceleze - magnesium powder 2 teaspoons per day. For liver detox use Metagenics Thermo Phase powder - 1 teaspoon in the morning. You can take this with the Musceleze. Rhodiola is more for stress and nervous system support, if you think you need it.
