Consumption levels will vary according to individual activity levels, state of health and age. However, as a rule of thumb:
Start up: 1 gram per day for one week.
Maintainance: 1.5 to 2 grams per day.
Optimum: 1.5 grams three times daily or 4.5 per day.
Best taken: At or after meals with fluid (water or fruit juice).
Children: Half a normal adult dose. Teenagers can take amounts closer to the adult range.
You can take chlorella either with every meal or once a day as a whole food supplement.
Perfect as a broad spectrum green / blue algae superfood when blended with Synergy Spirulina.
On rare occasions, individuals can demonstrate initial sensitivity to chlorella and a ‘cleansing’ reaction can be experienced. This reaction (if it happens) is normally recognised by intestinal cramping, gas and possibly either constipation or diarrhoea. If this is experienced, it can usually be dealt with by starting on as little as 1 tablet a day and increasing the amount by an extra tablet every 2 to 3 days.
Synergy Chlorella (along with Synergy Spirulina) is one of the best things that you can take as a food supplement as part of your regular self-care program. Our modern diet is overloaded with highly processed convenience foods which are nutrient and enzyme poor. Therefore it makes perfect sense to boost your diet with extra vitamins and minerals to protect yourself against common nutritional deficiencies. Regardless of who takes Chlorella, people report that it delivers life enhancing, health promoting benefits.
Chlorella is Nutritionally Complete
Chlorella is one of the most nutritionally balanced and complete natural foods in existence. Importantly it’s high potency, broad spectrum range of vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, nucleic acids, and other components are the result of the growth in and as a single natural plant, so, as is usually the case in all of nature’s creations, the nutrients are the perfect complement and support to each other. At a general level and if you are taking chlorella as an everyday nutritional support for the maintenance of health and well being, you should find that most of your nutritional gaps are filled.
Chlorella is a food of proven benefit. It has been tested more thoroughly than any other food for its capability to restore health and vigour and is truly an effective means of ensuring that your health remains good and robust in today’s polluted and stressful world.
Chlorella is a highly nutritious broad spectrum food that supports your health in a number of ways, but particularly because of the large quantities of chlorophyll and Chlorella Growth Factor contained in chlorella it is also an excellent and natural detoxifier. Detoxification has become a far more important facet of our lives as we live in a world of increasingly toxic outdoor and indoor environments, eating foods that have become more and more overloaded with additives and live lives that have become increasingly stressful and that heighten our need for regular detoxification. Yet few of us take the time and trouble to clean these accumulated toxins out of our system.
Chlorella is the perfect and natural way to ensure that you can easily and conveniently detoxify your body. Just a few grams each day, taken with plenty of good, clean spring water can work wonders in neutralising some of the most negative and debilitating aspects of modern life. This is one of the primary reasons why chlorella is one of the most popular and beneficial health foods available in the world today.
Natural vs. Synthetic
The single most important factor in determining the effectiveness of any nutritional supplement is the body’s ability to absorb those nutrients. Most commercial multi-vitamin and mineral formulations are synthesised in a laboratory and as a consequence are nothing like as bio-absorbable as the same nutrients that have been produced by nature as a natural whole food. Clinical studies have shown that organic nutrients are absorbed up to 16 times more effectively than synthetic ones. Synergy Chlorella contains just pure organic nutrients exactly as they occur in their natural form. Unlike synthetic supplements, the vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids, enzymes and essential fatty acids found in chlorella, all work together to ensure maximum assimilation and utilisation. Nothing has been added and nothing removed but the water. If you are moving away from empty processed food and chemical vitamins to natural foods, start using Synergy Chlorella.
Chlorella is 58% protein made up of amino acids which are the body’s building blocks for muscle growth, immunity, enzymes and hormones. It contains all eight of the essential amino acids and many of the non-essential ones, which is particularly important for vegetarians and vegans as their regular diet is normally deficient in these nutrients.
Using chlorella as a primary source of protein has many advantages, but two of the major ones are firstly, that protein derived from chlorella is exclusively alkaline forming whereas most optional forms of protein, predominantly meat, fish and eggs are acid forming. The second major benefit that chlorella derived protein has is that it is possible to produce it 50 times more efficiently than other protein production methods (chlorella yields about 40 tons of protein per acre whereas the same acreage of soybean crop would deliver at most half a ton per year).
Chlorella is not a weight loss supplement in its own right, but can be used effectively with any well-balanced weight loss program. Because it is a whole food it does not suppress the appetite, but rather satisfies the appetite while providing the energy and well-being that result from good nutrition. An important observation of people who regularly use chlorella in their daily diet is that they notice that they lose their desire for unnecessary meals and snacks.
Weight control and obesity generally are rampant issues in the world today and are being met with a staggering number of dietary and weight loss products. The best solution however is rather than to bombard ourselves with unnecessary, unpleasant and often processed diet products, to introduce long-term weight control practices, such as the regular consumption of chlorella, that establishes new, more enjoyable, practicable and healthier eating habits.
Customer questions / expert answers
Apparently most ascorbic acid is derived from corn, and it is not a 'listable' item. This means you have check each individual product derivative to be sure. All Metagenics Vitamin C's contain some corn. Perhaps you would be better to source you Vitamin C from a super food eg. Synergy Natural's Chlorella or Super Greens.
